When each site last published, and an estimate of its scale, from its sitemap structure.

How it’s collected

The site’s sitemap index is read for the most recent <lastmod> and a sampled estimate of total URLs — an indicator of whether a site is actively producing or dormant.

Known limits

• The scale figure is a sitemap-structure estimate, not an exact content count, and is labelled as such.
• Sites without a standard sitemap are excluded, not counted as zero.
