West Virginia age-verification law — HB 4412

Requires commercial sites where more than one-third of content is sexual material harmful to minors to verify users are 18+ using a government ID, digital ID, or another approved age-verification method, and bars retention of data collected for age checks. Approved by the Governor on 1 April 2026; effective 90 days after passage.
